MarineSnow+Globuli 1000ml
AquaCare MarineSnow+Globuli for use in the circulation reactor VFF (Vertical Flow Filter) or in the moving bed filter MB. These globules simulate the naturally occurring marine snow (reef snow) and supply corals and other filter animals with important organic and inorganic ingredients. The +Globuli dissolve in the VFF within a few days and release evenly their valuable organic substances bound to inorganic carriers into the aquarium water. The filtering animals absorb these particles and recycle the organic matter.
The polyp pattern of hard corals, especially SPS, improves. Even azooxanthellate corals can absorb the MarineSnow and thrive better - but they also need to be fed with plankton!
AquaCare MarineSnow+Globuli are characterized by the following features:
inorganic calcium-based marine snow particles loaded with:
proteins and amino acids and
vitamins
Important! The volume of the spheres can decrease due to the storage. Exactly 1 litre bulk volume is filled in the factory. The +globules swell back to their original size in the filter. With smaller shrunk +globules you fill less into the filter! Never top up more than 1/3 of the maximum filter volume in a fluidized filter or vertical flow filter to ensure proper operation.
achtung Important! The liquid in the +Globuli packaging should not get into the aquarium water - the mineral composition of the seawater could be changed.
achtung Important! Do not use the +Globuli directly in the aquarium.
achtung The +Globuli should be stored in the refrigerator at 2-6°C.
tipp A small plastic tea strainer is particularly practical for removing the +Globuli from the tin. A powder hopper is helpful for small diameter filters.
Description:
AquaCare +Globuli (not X-globuli!) dissolve slowly in seawater and release their ingredients evenly. For the optimum dissolution process, we recommend operation in the AquaCare MultiFunctionFilter. With this, the +Globuli can either be dissolved more slowly in the fluidised bed process (without central tube) or faster in the vertical flow process (with central tube). Different AquaCare globules (not X-Globuli! nicht POC+Globuli!) can be mixed.
For operation in the vertical flow filter, a number of points should be noted. The central tube should not be inserted too deep and not too high: approx. 5-10 mm above the lower inlet port (depending on the globules used) is optimal. The water velocity is also important.
Dosage:
2 - 15 ml per day and 100 litres of aquarium volume or
10 -100 ml per week and 100 litres of aquarium volume
achtung The water from the MF2 multi-function-filter should not be directed into the filter system or skimmer, but directly back into the aquarium or into the suction side of the return pump. Otherwise, the important ingredients are not available to the filtering organisms.
Characteristics:
AquaCare MarineSnow+Globuli have the following ingredients:
biodegradable polymer as matrix for the enclosed substances
inorganic calcium particles in different sizes: 1.0 to 22.5 µm
protein and amino acid mixture, 2% of dry matter
vitamin mix
The +Globuli dissolve in seawater within a few days. The dissolving speed depends on several factors:
salt content: from 30/1000 +Globuli dissolve optimally;
temperature: in cold water systems +Globuli dissolve more slowly;
calcium concentrations above 450 mg/l and magnesium concentrations above 1350 mg/l hinder the dissolution process;
flow velocity: +Globuli dissolve faster in the VFF than in the fluidized bed filter. If the +Globuli are to dissolve more slowly, the AquaCare MF2 MultiFunctionFilter should be converted from circulating operation (VFF) to moving bed operation (just remove the central tube);
the older the +Globuli, the longer the dissolution process takes
