Self-regulation.

The auto-regulation function is activated as soon as the moisture of the foam in the neck exceeds the user-defined “over-skimming” threshold. The pump intensity is immediately reduced to prevent over-skimming, then gradually increased or decreased, little by little, depending on the humidity of the froth, until the preset pump intensity is reached and the stability of the skimming is restored.

REEFER DC-Skimmer combines self-regulating technology, a PSK DC pump, a proportioned venturi, a diffusion plate and a dispersion chamber which optimize the air-water contact time.

Optimal air/water ratio and contact time

The dispersion chamber evenly disperses the fine bubbles created by the PSK DC pump through the skimmer cone without reducing air or water flow.

From sensor to pump

The REEFER DC-Skimmer is equipped with a dual monoblock which controls the wetness of the scum and the level of rejects allowing the ReefRun Dual Controller to adjust the intensity of the DC pump accordingly

Quiet.

The REEFER DC-Skimmers are particularly quiet thanks to the PSK DC pump, silent blocks and a silencer on the air inlet.

Choose the order and time of restarting the devices after a maintenance shutdown, for example, allow your return pump a few minutes for the water level of the sediment and the aquarium to be correct before restart the skimmer, stirring pumps and metering pumps.
