EdgeField Optics

Optics are one of the most important components of an advanced lighting system. Edgefield™ technology incorporated into the blade provides uniform PAR, smooth color blending and exceptional diffusion.

Edgefield optics, designed exclusively for the blade, provide incredible 95 degree spread while achieving unrivaled light mixing across the length of the blade. The specular exit surface presents a crisp, natural shine to your aquarium.

Aquarium stand included

For blades up to 100cm the low profile aquarium stand is included. The support extends up to 11cm on each side of the blade (for a total of 22cm).

Mounting clips included

For blades longer than 100cm, blade mounting clips are included. These clips are compatible with AI HMS Single-Arm and HMS Hanging Kit rails. Different app? No problem, the Blade has plenty of other mounting options or use the clips with your custom mount.

Waterproof

The blade is not only versatile, but built to last in the harsh environment of marine aquariums. The blade meets IP66 standards which indicate the highest protection against particles and a high level of protection against water.

Quiet operation

The blade incorporates a highly efficient heat sink design. Passive cooling means no fans and no air movement or fan noise. This makes the Blade ideal for lighting aquariums in living areas where less noise is a big plus.

Hanging blade

AI's Blade Hanging Kit is a stylish way to hang your light above your tank. Made of high quality brushed aluminum in a beautiful black finish. Available in 3, 4 and 6 light configurations for all sizes of Blade fixtures.

Kit includes: 2 bars, appropriate number of blade mounting clips and v-wires. For use with HMS suspension kit (sold separately).

Raised tank support

The Raised Tank Mount provides an attractive and sturdy solution for mounting your AI Blade™. Mounting for rimmed or rimless tanks, the raised tank stand increases light spread and allows easier access to the aquarium.

Hybrid mount

The hybrid bracket allows the blade to be mounted using the AquaIllumination Hydra or EcoTech Radion pendant luminaires. Each kit contains two mounting bars and clips for use with HMS, RMS or equivalent multi-light pendant kits. Works with ec one or more Hydra or Radion fixtures (not for use with HMS or RMS multi-light tank mounted tracks).

M8 mounting thread
