Optimize your pond's water quality with the Filtreco multi-chamber filter. This complete system ensures efficient mechanical and biological filtration for a healthy and balanced aquatic environment. Easy to install and maintain, it is ideal for small and medium-sized ponds.
The Filtreco "4 chamber small" multi-chamber filter is a complete and efficient solution for filtering your pond. Designed for ponds up to 10,000 liters, it combines mechanical and biological filtration for clear and healthy water.
This filter is designed for either gravity-fed or pump-fed installation. The water passes successively through different chambers, each filled with a specific filter media.
Functioning :
The pond water enters the first chamber, equipped with brushes. These brushes trap large particles and debris, ensuring effective mechanical filtration. The water then flows into subsequent chambers, filled with Japanese matting. This matting provides a large surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize, breaking down organic waste and improving water quality.

The maintenance frequency depends on the organic load of your pond. Generally, it is recommended to clean the brushes in the first chamber every 1 to 2 weeks. The Japanese matting in the subsequent chambers can be cleaned less frequently, approximately every 1 to 3 months, depending on how dirty they become. It is important not to clean all the filter media at the same time to avoid disrupting the filter's biological balance.
The Filtreco "4 chamber small" filter can be installed in two ways. Gravity installation involves positioning the filter at the same level as the pond, with the water flowing naturally into the filter. Pump installation involves using a pump to send the pond water to the filter, which can be positioned higher. The choice between the two depends on your pond's configuration and the available space.
Yes, the fourth filter chamber is empty and can be used to add other filter media of your choice. You can place ceramic rings, bio balls, or any other media that promotes bacterial colonization. This allows you to optimize biological filtration and adapt the filter to the specific needs of your pond.
