Biological filter media (such as ceramic noodles) can be cleaned less frequently, about every 3 to 6 months, using aquarium water to avoid destroying the beneficial bacteria colony. Also, regularly check the condition of the seals and hoses, and replace them if necessary.

The EHEIM ecco pro 300 filter is designed for freshwater and saltwater aquariums with a volume of 60 to 300 liters. It is particularly suitable for community aquariums, planted aquariums, and tropical fish aquariums. However, if you have an aquarium with fish that produce a lot of waste (such as goldfish or certain cichlids), it may be necessary to supplement the filtration with another filter or increase the frequency of cleaning.

The EHEIM ecco pro 300 is equipped with a priming system integrated into the multifunction handle. To prime the filter, make sure all hoses are properly connected and the shut-off valves are open. Fill the filter body with aquarium water.
