Tips for successful acclimation

• The jellyfish are delivered in a bag in a thermos box → free them quickly

• Slow acclimation recommended: bag in water at room temperature for 1 hour

• Check filter flow : adjust if necessary to prevent them from being sucked

• Film the opening of the package for any claim

• Loss of shape or tentacles

• Movement stopped or size reduction

• Refusal of food, holes in body

Possible causes:

1. Incorrect salinity (refractometer badly calibrated)

2. Chemical contamination (tools, hands, unwashed products)

3. Unstable temperature

4. Bacteria overdose

5. Inadequate or damaged food

6. High NO3

7. Food too poor (prefer live shrimp)

Tip: change water more often during the first 2 months to stabilize the bacterial cycle.
