How do NP-Minus Biopellets work?

NP-Minus granules are used as carbon source for aerobic bacteria. These bacteria use granules as an energy feed and consume excess nitrates and phosphates in water. The excess bacterial biomass is then scummed out of the system thanks to your scummer.

Two possible modes of use:

• Before the skimmer (recommended) The excess bacterial biomass is removed directly by the skimmer, thereby effectively reducing nitrates and phosphates.

• After the skimmer : The released bacterial biomass serves as food for corals and other aquarium organisms.

Instructions for use:

• Ensure good oxygenation of water via skimmer or effective mixing to avoid oxygen deficiencies, especially at night.
