The operating principle is simple but effective: the water of the pond is first forwarded to an integrated sieve, which retains the coarse debris such as leaves, algae and other particles. This mechanical filtration step is crucial to prevent fouling of the biological filtration elements located downstream.
After crossing the sieve, the water enters the lower room, which is filled with BIO WHEELS (included) or HEL-X (optional).
