The Nyos® Nitrate + 1000 ml is a high quality reef additive intended to increase precisely and securely the concentration in Nitrates (NO3) in marine aquariums. It is aimed at the aquarists wishing to maintain an optimal nutritional balance, indispensable for the good development of hard and soft corals.

In modern reef aquariums, too low levels of nitrates and phosphates can lead to a famine corals, slow growth, loss of color, or even tissue degradation. Nyos Nitrate + allows you to correct these shortcomings without introducing unwanted elements.

An essential nutrient balance for corals

A good balance between Nitrates (NO3) and phosphates (PO4) is fundamental to avoid both the deficiencies and proliferations of unwanted algae. The experience of many coral breeders shows that the ideal values are:

• NO3: 10 to 20 ppm
• PO4: 0.025 to 0.05 ppm

Technical characteristics

Content

• 1000 ml of nitrate + contain 100,000 mg of NO3
• (For reference: 1000 ml of phosphate + contain 1,000 mg of PO4)

Recommended dosage

Nitrate + :

• 1 ml increases the value of nitrates of 1 ppm in 100 liters water

Phosphate + (complementary product):

• 1 ml increases the value of phosphates of 0.01 ppm in 100 liters water

It is recommended to measure the levels of No3 and Po4 at least twice a week to adjust the dosage accurately.

Use with metering pump

Nyos Nitrate + can be used manually or via a metering pump, to accurately balance the daily consumption of nitrates and phosphates. This method guarantees optimal stability of the parameters and a healthy reef environment in the long term.
