How to perform a KH test with the Smart Test Kit KH?

1. Take 5 ml of water from your aquarium using a syringe and pour it into the vial provided for this purpose.
2. Shake the dropper of KH Reagent 1, then add 2 drops of liquid into the test tube. Shake gently with circular motions. The liquid should turn green.
3. Thread the dispensing needle onto a 1 ml syringe. Take 1 ml of KH Reagent 2. Make sure the tip of the piston indicates exactly 1 ml. (Note: The presence of air between the liquid and the piston does not affect the accuracy of the test.)
4. Using the syringe fitted with the dispensing needle, add KH Reagent 2 drop by drop into the liquid in the test tube, making sure it does not run down the walls. Shake the tube after each drop and observe the color change.
5. The green solution will begin to take on a transition color - gray-brown. When the liquid turns amaranth (purple), stop adding reagent.
6. Read the value of the remaining liquid in the KH Reagent 2 syringe, as indicated by the piston. Compare the result with the table provided or enter it in the Smart Reef user panel.
