Zeolites are minerals primarily composed of aluminum oxides and silicon oxides, forming porous structures with numerous channels and chambers. ZEOMAX PLUS is a natural zeolite used for chemical water filtration. It comes in the form of carefully selected zeolite gravel, offering an extensive sorption capacity. These porous spaces allow water, containing various ions, to freely pass through. Consequently, ZEOMAX PLUS boasts a substantial sorption capacity, effectively absorbing and binding various types of chemical impurities, including nitrogen compounds and heavy metals, as well as other substances harmful to fish.

What is ZeoMAX Plus?

ZeoMAX Plus is an exceptional filter cartridge designed for chemical water filtration in freshwater aquariums, paludariums, aquaterrariums, and terrarium pools. It is composed of carefully selected zeolite gravel, providing a substantial sorption capacity.

How does ZeoMAX Plus work?

The specially prepared zeolite used in ZeoMAX Plus production exhibits outstanding sorption properties. Consequently, it absorbs toxic nitrogen compounds present in the water, capturing ammonia and binding and neutralizing nitrite and nitrate ions. This action safeguards fish from harmful nitrogen substances, reducing the necessity for frequent water changes.

Where and when does ZeoMAX Plus work?

ZeoMAX Plus is ideally suited as a filter medium in canister filters, overflow filters, internal filters with compartments for loose media (such as TURBOFILTER), sumps, and filter chimneys. It is recommended for use in all types of decorative freshwater aquariums.

How should I use ZeoMAX Plus?

ZeoMAX Plus is ready for immediate use and requires no rinsing or additional preparation. Simply pour the contents of the package into the filter basket or filtration chamber. For optimal results, it is advisable to position the ZeoMAX Plus cartridge after the mechanical filtration components and ahead of the biological filtration cartridges.

ZeoMAX Plus is recommended for AQUAEL filters: UNIMAX, MIDIKANI 800, MINIKANI 80, MINIKANI 120, ASAP, and VERSAMAX. For aquariums with a capacity of 150 to 250 liters, a single 1-liter pack of ZeoMAX Plus is recommended.

How long does ZeoMAX Plus work?

During its operation, the ZeoMAX Plus cartridge undergoes gradual filling and wear due to sorption. To maintain optimal filtration performance, it is advisable to replace the cartridge at least every 4 weeks."
