Aiptasia anemones are one of the most common pests in the marine aquarium hobby. Usually added to the aquarium inadvertently with live rock or coral, these anemones spread quickly and damage the coral with their ability to sting. Aiptasia anemones and other unwanted stinging organisms can be controlled quickly and safely with Tropic Marin ELIMI-AIPTAS.
ELIMI-AIPTAS can be simply injected into unwanted aiptasia using the included syringe. It does not affect reef aquarium water chemistry. After treatment with ELIMI-AIPTAS, aiptasia anemones decompose.
ELIMI-AIPTAS should be used immediately after the appearance of the first aiptasia, in order to avoid rapid proliferation.
° To control aiptasia anemones safely
° Works quickly and reliably, without affecting reef aquarium water chemistry
° Simple application by injection with the supplied syringe, directly into the aiptasia
° After treatment, aiptasia anemones decompose
° ELIMI-AIPTAS is based on a weak alkaline solution.
Draw ELIMI-AIPTAS into the syringe provided; place the needle on the cone of the syringe and inject a few tenths of a milliliter inside the aiptasia anemone. It is important to hit the aiptasia directly and inject the solution as soon as possible, before the animal has twitched. A milky white mass will emerge from the creature and surround it. This mass should not be removed, as it improves the efficiency of the procedure.
After treatment with ELIMI-AIPTAS, the aiptasia breaks down.
After treatment, rinse the needle with clean water and carefully remove it from the syringe.
Caution: To avoid injury, care must be taken when handling ELIMI-AIPTAS and the needle!
