To ensure that all processes related to this element occur correctly, it is necessary to maintain the calcium level in the aquarium around 420 ppm. Beyond this value, there won't be significant improvements in coral calcification levels.
It is not recommended to raise calcium levels above 450 ppm as it may lead to a decrease in alkalinity. Therefore, it is advised to correct calcium levels and use additives in a balanced manner with other additives in our aquarium. We offer the Xepta Reef Balance additive in our product range for this purpose.
Xepta Ca+ contains calcium salts. Its usage involves adding 5g of Xepta Ca+ to increase the calcium content by 18 ppm in 100 liters of aquarium water. You can add it directly to an area with strong water flow or dilute the content in osmotic water.
For preparation, dissolve 5g of Xepta Ca+ in 5 liters of osmotic water until the solution becomes completely clear and transparent. This exothermic reaction generates heat, so it is normal for the container to warm up. Once the 5-liter solution is ready, adding 10 ml of it will increase the calcium content by 7 ppm per 100 liters of aquarium water.
